The astrology of Ghislaine Maxwell

I watched a video of Ghislaine Maxwell last night protesting her innocence from the Florida prison where she is currently serving a 20 year sentence for sex trafficking. In the video, which was filmed by her brother Ian Maxwell, Ghislaine said that she is being made the scapegoat for Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual crimes and that she was also his victim despite her apparent devotion to him over the decades.

Most people are aware of her bizarre relationship with the now deceased, billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. The testimonials of various women who claimed to have been raped and abused by him describe Ghislaine as someone who treated beautiful young girls as mere cattle. Ghislaine was said to actively seek out and groom young girls for Jeffrey’s sadistic and perverted pleasures and that she occasionally participated in the disgusting acts.  The media has portrayed Ghislaine as a ghoulish and evil character, lacking in any, natural, feminine and maternal instincts, but what does her birth chart say?
 

Ghislaine, who is the daughter of the notorious media mogul, fraudster and suspected Mossad spy, Robert Maxwell, was born on December 25th 1961 at 15:20 in France. Her birth time has been rated AA for accuracy by Astrotheme as it comes directly from her birth certificate. 

Ghislaine has a stellium of planets (Sun, Mars & Mercury) in Capricorn in the 8th house of sex, power, joint finances and death. She has no water in her personal planets at all which creates a deficiency of this element in her birth chart. Water is the element of emotions, empathy, and the ability to form loving bonds with others. Ghislaine founded a non-profit for the protection of the oceans and I do wonder if she was being advised by an astrologer as this would be a great astrological “remedy” for a person with no water in their birth chart. 

Capricorn (ruled by Saturn) is a hard working and ambitious sign that focuses on climbing the ladder and financial security. The stellium of planets in the 8th house, which includes her chart ruler, describes someone who values power and wealth and is comfortable with the dark side of life. The 8th house is a good place for Capricorn planets but Ghislaine’s chart is so dominated by this sign, there is no room here for any emotions or softness and nothing to balance the coldness of Saturn. Her Jupiter (generosity of spirit) is even in a sign that is ruled by Saturn. 

The Sun conjuncts Mars, which describes her Father’s character and gives Ghislaine herself a fearless, competitive and sexual personality. The conjunction makes her ruthless and willing to walk over others in pursuit of power and dominance. Mars is exalted in Capricorn as it gives its natives a tireless work ethic, but conjunct the Sun in the 8th house it becomes out of control and describes a person who has a large, sexual, appetite yet strangely emotionally detached from the act itself.  

Mars is conjunct a fixed star called Sinistra which is located in the constellation of Ophiuchus the serpent bearer. This Star is said to have the nature of Saturn and gives its natives good business and leadership abilities but with an immoral, perverse and greedy personality. 

Ghislaine’s moon is in Leo which is a fixed fire sign. In astrology, the moon symbolises emotional security, the mother, and nurturement. Leo is not the best place for the Moon as the sign is ruled by the Sun with Luna’s feminine traits being scorched and oppressed by the dominant solar powers.  Leo can be a bit "cold" and detached in the Moon as it is a masculine energy which dominates the person’s emotional desires and need for security.

Moon in Leo’s emotions are often driven by self gratification but as always, this depends on the rest of the chart and absolutely does not always indicate a narcissistic personality unless the person has other, difficult placements.  Moon in Leo natives are known to be playful and creative with healthy self esteem and great leadership abilities. This placement often has aristocratic blood lines and Ghislaine’s mother, Elizabeth Maxwell, was descended from French Huguenot aristocracy which included Kings of France. Leo moon holds a blood memory of aristocracy and acts as an unconscious force which would influence Ghislaine’s emotional need to hold an elevated position in society. 

Further problems are caused by the moon in Leo forming a conjunction with Rahu, the devouring and insatiable head of the dragon and this symbolises an obsessive, potentially out of control area of the person’s life which intensifies with age. The moon, which is a feminine planet, conjunct Rahu speaks of a strange and unhealthy relationship with other females which started with the Mother. Moon conjunct Rahu can often be connected to mental and emotional illness. Absolutely, we could see this conjunction as someone who uses females to fulfil their worldly ambitions. 

The moon is conjunct a fixed star “Dubhe” which is located in Ursa major, the great bear. This star is said to give its natives the gift of foresight, cunning and psychic abilities, however the constellation Ursa major is said to be associated with violent deaths and great success that is ruined by pride and careless actions. 

The ruler of a person’s birth chart is the planet that rules the sign that was rising on the horizon at the time of birth (ascendant). This planet is said to strongly motivate the person’s actions and is a powerful driving force behind their decisions. Ghislaine’s chart ruler is the 8th house Mercury in Capricorn which is business-like, detached and focuses on material matters and opportunity. Mercury is conjunct an unfortunate fixed star, Facies, which gives her a warlike nature and great leadership abilities, but is connected to blindness and violent deaths. The blindness or eyesight problems caused by Facies can be metaphorical, symbolising a person who is “blinded” by their own ambitions and folly.   

Ghislaine has Gemini rising which makes her highly intelligent, a good communicator, adaptable and youthful in spirit. Gemini is an air sign which is rational and non-emotional. Gemini is known for having the ability to comfortably detach in situations that other signs might emotionally struggle with.  Gemini rising, along with other parts of her chart, does explain why Ghislaine was comfortable with the polyamory which was part of her relationship with Epstein. 

The 7th house cusp, or descendant in the birth chart describes the native’s close relationships and the type of person that they marry or enter into long term partnerships with. The star conjunct Ghislaine’s 7th house cusp is Antares which is located in the Scorpius constellation. The star is connected with violence, destruction and fatalities and is said to have the nature of Mars. Antares people are said to bring about their own downfalls by pig-headedness which describes both Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.  It’s worth noting that in karmic astrology the 7th house describes the personality and themes of the person’s last incarnation. Taking this into consideration we can see that Ghislaine has not progressed or learned any lessons from her previous lifetime. 

Finally, we can look at the star that is conjunct Ghislaine’s ascendant which is Aldebaran, located in the Pleiades. This star is considered one of the Royal stars of Persia, being the watcher in the east. Bernadette Brady makes a connection to the God Mithra, the slayer of the cosmic bull. Mithra gave honours and success to his followers but only if they lived with integrity and honesty. Failure to adhere to these principles would cause the person to be “condemned to an ordeal of fire.”
